Welcome
Wondering about MOSAIC Magazine? Well, wonder no more
Many years ago, when I was a young girl, my hopes and dreams were that of every other little girl. I wanted to grow up, marry my prince charming, have children and live in a big house. Many years after that, I grew up and my aspirations and dreams were much more defined. I knew exactly what type of person my prince charming would be. I knew that I wanted two kids, and that the size of my house was irrelevant; I just wanted a home. In addition, I tacked business owner onto my aspiration list.
I’ve always been ambitious, persistent and unwavering when pursuing my goals. Today, I have two young sons, a wonderful husband and my most recent blessing: MOSAIC Magazine, my second business.
MOSAIC, for me, was sowed about two years ago during a pivotal conversation. I was surrounded by such a diverse group of people who all had beautiful, interesting and engaging stories of how they came to be successful in their respective businesses and workplaces. What I learned from them, I wanted to share. Their knowledge and rites of passage needed to be communicated to others who were ambitious and passionate. Their stories were my catalyst.
MOSAIC Magazine is a stage where I will bring together Charlotte’s African American community by bridging (connecting) our businesses and lifestyles. I’d like to introduce you to your neighbors: from the emerging entrepreneur to the established professional to the hardworking colleague.
My promise to you, our readers, is to engage you from day one. We have so many wonderful events planned, people to find and conversations to have.
So there you have it, my welcome speech and introduction to MOSAIC Magazine, from a little girl with everyday dreams and aspirations to a businesswoman with unyielding promises. Anything is possible if you stay ambitious.
Yours truly,
Tasha
